Ehrenberg Castle World – Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages
Just 18 km from the Hotel Post is the imposing Ehrenberg Castle World near Reutte – a place where history comes to life. In the Ehrenberger Klause, a historic fortress ensemble, you embark on an exciting journey through 700 years – right into the Middle Ages. Highline 179 – Floating between heaven and history
A real adventure awaits just 20 km from the Hotel Post: the Highline 179, which at 406 meters long is one of the longest “Tibet-style” pedestrian suspension bridges in the world. At a height of 114 meters, it connects the Ehrenberg castle ruins with Fort Claudia – and offers an incomparable panorama over the valley of Reutte and the surrounding mountains. The view down? Eibsee – Emerald green under the Zugspitze
One of the most beautiful lakes in the Alps is just 24 km from the Hotel Post: Lake Eibsee. Nestled in dense forests and right at the foot of the Zugspitze, it delights with its shimmering green-turquoise, crystal-clear water. We set off and hike up the picturesque Immensteig trail, past the Ehrwalder Alm and stop off at the cozy Post-Jagdhütte. Refreshed, we continue to the Seebensee lake, where the natural surroundings are simply breathtaking.
