The Zugspitze is simply great!
Reasons why skiing at Zugspitze is unique.
Favorite mountain Zugspitze. The breathtaking views at 2,962 meters are actually reason enough for the popularity of the ski area. There are 9 different ski areas around the Hotel Post Lermoos, which can be discovered with a unique ski map. The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena certainly doesn’t promise too much when it comes to extraordinary experiences in the snow. So strap on your skis and get skiing!
Out and up…
… is the motto at the Alpine Luxury Gourmet & SPA Hotel Post in Lermoos. Just 3 minutes from the front door, the slope dream begins, including an enjoyable combination of fun, sport and mountain experience. With the Top Snow Card, winter sports enthusiasts can ski down the slopes amidst the diverse Alpine panorama in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, Seefeld and Garmisch-Partenkirchen with just one ski pass in their pocket. With over 214 kilometers of pistes, there is no time to kneel down when the pistes reach up to over 2,800 meters, including fun parks, high-speed pistes and rustic huts.
Close enough to touch the sky
Under the blue sky, the sun-drenched slopes of the Zugspitze ski area lie at an altitude of 2,000 to 2,720 meters and not only enchant with their impressive panorama, but also boast a high level of snow reliability thanks to the natural snow. Germany’s only glacier ski area on the Zugspitzplatt at almost 3,000 m directly below the summit guarantees the best snow conditions for up to six months of the year. Pure skiing and snowboarding fun awaits on around 20 kilometers of pistes with nine ski lifts and easy to moderately difficult runs. The most beautiful and varied piste begins below the 2698-metre-high Wetterwandeck: It leads through lonely, hilly snow and rocky landscapes for around four kilometers down into the Brunntal valley. At an altitude of 2000 meters, the skiing fun ends and you can take the cog railway or cable car down into the valley.
Pleasure skiing with a stop-off
Skiing on the Zugspitze is not the only pleasure; the queen of the Wetterstein mountains also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. The Sonnalpin restaurant with its breathtaking views, the Glacier Garden with its impressive glass pavilion, the Gipfelalm and the Panorama 2962 combine traditional Bavarian and international cuisine at the highest level.
In the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, you are right in the middle of things instead of just being there when it comes to skiing on the glacier in Austria.
After an eventful and unforgettable day on the slopes, the Post Alpin Spa is the perfect place to regenerate your body. Let yourself be pampered with treatments and relax in the cozy relaxation rooms.
