Our head chef Thomas Strasser has attracted the attention of the most renowned restaurant guides with his outstanding culinary skills. 3 toques & 15 points from Gault&Millau as well as 94 points and 3 forks from Falstaff speak for themselves. Thomas Strasser has now even been named the third best chef in Tyrol.
A master of his trade
Thomas Strasser has been inspiring guests as head chef at the Alpine Luxury Gourmet & SPA Hotel Post in Lermoos since 2016. His unmistakable Alpine cuisine with innovative international influences fascinates gourmets. In the à la carte restaurant Post Gourmet Stube, he entices guests with a six-course menu in a class of its own. He consistently follows the path of sustainability and quality by relying exclusively on regional products from local producers. Even Franz Dengg Junior’s own farm supplies fresh eggs, milk and high-quality meat directly from the neighboring farm to the table. This combination of tradition and innovation makes every dish a unique culinary experience.

The excellent selection of over 1,000 top wines from around the world perfectly complements the culinary creations. Each bottle has been carefully selected to emphasize the nuances and aromas of our dishes and complete the culinary experience of our guests. With the award for third best chef in Tyrol and 57th place in Austria, Thomas Strasser has now officially found his place among the best chefs in the country. This recognition is not only a celebration of his tireless work and unwavering dedication to perfection, but also a tribute to the commitment of our entire team to exceptional gastronomic experiences.

The 100 BEST CHEFS Award created by Jürgen Pichler, the founder of the international gastronomy magazine ROLLING PIN, recognizes exceptional achievements in the kitchen. The uniqueness of this award lies in the fact that over 3,000 employees from the Austrian restaurant and hotel industry nominate and honor the best chefs in the country. The award is therefore not only a recognition of Thomas Strasser’s culinary excellence, but also an endorsement from his colleagues in the industry.
