Family Angelika & Franz Dengg

, with its down-to-earth charm, offers the highest level of hospitality.

It’s the little things that make the Hotel Post so unique.

The joy with which every day is lived. The happiness that seems hidden in every detail—and that the Dengg family, your hosts, has poured into it with complete dedication.
Nothing is left to chance, and yet you can feel this trusting vitality everywhere.
This sense of inner peace. This genuine and wholehearted presence that the hosts radiate. In every conversation, in interactions with the staff, in the personalized service: everywhere, it’s the moment, the person, and the sense of togetherness that make the hotel’s luxury truly special.

A Philosophy Put into Practice & Sustainable Responsibility

Beyond great words, what really endures is happening. Every decision has the potential to give more. Better to live. to act more sustainably. And this at all levels: with the employees, whose well-being is our highest asset. With nature, whose power drives us forward. With the companies of the region, which give our house its authentic alpine facets. With the social environment that wants to be supported and helped to shape.

These guiding principles, this commitment to the good and constructive are a self-understanding for the Dengg family.

It’s a back-giving and saying thank you.
Always with complete conviction.

: Tourism Pioneer Award

Several hundred employees work at the Dengg family’s businesses, the majority of whom are employed year-round.
“Tyrol’s development into a top tourist destination is due not only to the many traditional family-run businesses, but above all to innovative and determined individuals like Klaus and Franz Dengg. For years, they have played a key role in shaping our tourism landscape with their keen sense for new developments and innovations, as well as their passion for hospitality. Klaus and Franz Dengg are visionaries and forward-thinkers—two brothers deeply committed to our region and an important local employer. “I am therefore delighted to present you and your families with the Tourism Pioneer Award,” emphasized Governor Günther Platter during the award ceremony in 2022.

Franz Dengg added: “A special thank you goes to our families, including our children, and above all to our employees—without them, none of this would be possible.”

Familie Dengg

Hosts since 1986.

In 1986, Elfriede Jäger, née Dengg, the Hotel Post with today’s Post Schlössl to her cousin Franz Dengg sen. and his son Horst Dengg, father of Franz Dengg, who today, together with his wife Angelika Dengg, manages this heritage as Alpine Luxury Gourmet & SPA Hotel Post and thus as one of the most sophisticated addresses in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. As the operator of the Tyrolean Zugspitzbahn, the founding hotel of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Golf Course and the host of the Hotel Post, they provide valuable impulses for a region whose diversity and natural beauty are unparalleled.

Sustainable Practices

Taking Responsibility for the Region

Regional value creation, close collaboration with local businesses, and short transportation routes were not only key factors in the new construction project in 2006, but remain core principles. Thanks to the bio-heating plant in Wacht and modern building technology, 120,000 liters of heating oil are saved each year.

The careful recycling of waste materials is another way we contribute to an environmentally conscious lifestyle amid an impressive natural setting where people, too, can thrive: with a strong commitment to social causes, supporting nonprofit organizations and local clubs, such as “Rettet das Kind Tirol,” “Lebenshilfe Tirol,” the kindergarten, and the elementary and middle schools.

If you also want to support us, we will be happy to inform you personally.
