The art of regional ingredients:
A look into our kitchen
Welcome to our culinary world, where the regional origin of our ingredients is of particular importance. On our website, we proudly highlight our close ties to our neighbors and our use of fresh, regional products. In this blog post, we’d like to introduce you to some of the typical ingredients and dishes that define the regional cuisine at Hotel Post Lermoos. From traditional delicacies to innovative creations—the regional diversity is reflected in our menu. We take pride in bringing the flavors of our surroundings to life on your plate.
From the Field to the Plate: The Journey of Freshness
The “Post Gourmet Stube” at the 4-star Superior Hotel Post captivates guests with its unique blend of traditional ambiance and relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Under the direction of Executive Chef Thomas Strasser, award-winning dishes are created using regional ingredients and inspired by international culinary trends.
This connection to the region is also reflected in the culinary highlights, where guests are treated to regional delicacies from morning to night. Enjoy hearty sausage and cheese specialties from Tyrol, as well as bread from our local bakers. The eggs and milk, which come directly from our own chickens and cows on our farm in Lermoos, give our breakfast a special touch. Start your day with a regional culinary experience that combines freshness, quality, and authentic flavor. The 6-course dinner menu, included with half-board, blends a love for the region with a curiosity for new culinary inspirations. In addition, the Gourmet-Stube opens its doors to outside guests who wish to enjoy special à la carte delicacies as well as traditional dishes.
A vibrant connection to the region
The Hotel Post Lermoos’ commitment to regional ingredients is evident in the careful selection of produce, most of which comes from the immediate vicinity. We source beef and veal directly from our own farm, game from our own hunting grounds, fish fresh from the local fish farm, and fruits and vegetables from the market hall in Garmisch. Even our dairy products come from farmers in the region. This deliberate selection minimizes transportation distances, which not only benefits the environment but also enhances the freshness and quality of every meal. Every bite is a delight that makes the connection to the region tangible.
We invite you to experience this culinary journey with us and discover regional cuisine in all its splendor at the Hotel Post Lermoos.
We look forward to welcoming you soon on a culinary journey of discovery through our gourmet world.
