Virtuelle Tour

Tradition and History

The Post in Lermoos, Tyrol, has a long tradition and is one of the oldest inns in all of Austria.

One of the oldest and most important historical European trading routes goes past Lermoos.
The route was part of the Roman Via Claudia, which led from the German provinces over the Fernpass to Italy.
In 1560 The Post became the official changing station for the post-office horses and then it became an inn, which was extended into a hostel, then a restaurant and finally a hotel. Through the centuries, the Post has stayed true to its roots despite numerous refurbishments.
In the spring of 2006 we took on the challenge of renovating once more. In record time we transformed the Post into a modern hotel with all modern comforts using state-of-the-art building technologies and re-opened our doors to the public at the beginning of December.
